Challenge
Leadership at a multi-entity regional hospital encountered numerous challenges with the vendor-led install of their newly purchased revenue cycle system. These difficulties risked the implementation go-live date and also placed additional responsibilities upon onsite staff that were needed to maintain current operations.
Approach
- Hired by CIO to lead the overall system implementation
- Sourced new PHC project resources and placed in key revenue cycle leadership roles in the business and patient access offices
- Maintained positive relations between vendor and site pre and post revenue cycle site leadership
Impact
Perceptive Healthcare efforts decreased overall site Implementation costs by $6 million dollars. The hospital executed their go-live date ahead of schedule saving over 1.5 million dollars contract obligation with legacy vendors. We were able to decrease site FTE costs by 40% through a mixture of talented consultants with ability to work in different roles as well as working within a fixed budget for travel costs.
